About

I am an Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. I teach core and elective courses in the Biological Sciences Department and I mentor novel student research on invertebrate ecology, evolution, and conservation biology (@jorlofske). 

In addition to my work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our adventure cat, Sushi (@punypuma). When we aren’t fixing up our old house or taking care of the garden, we try to canoe, camp, hike, bike, and snowshoe in as many interesting places as possible. My favorite indoor activities include culinary arts (cheese-making, ethic food), crafts (knitting), as well as nerdy books and movies.
